I met Seif's cousin from San Francisco tonight. He was out here visiting with his beautiful family. The night turned out to be so fun minus one little hang up. We met them at Seaport Village and went for coffee and witnessed the crappy side of corporate America as we were kicked out of Starbucks when they closed, WHILE his wife and baby were in the bathroom. We asked if we could wait for them and they said we could wait outside. As we walked out the door, a woman was banging on the bathroom door. Can you believe that? Man, the rudeness fails to surprise me these days.
We decided to go to dinner in Little Italy and it turned out to be the best idea. I really had a great time. The restaurant we went to had a band singing old Frank Sinatra songs, the food was great, and all of the ladies (me, Seif's cousin's wife, and 2 daughters) all went home with roses. I really like my husband's family. These guys were just wonderful. What an awesome night. Sometimes you get caught up in the every day chaos of life and forget about the small things that make you smile. I'm still smiling. Here's to great people, good times, and memories.

I Heart California
It's been awhile since I last blogged. As always, school keeps me busy, but that's a good thing. We have also had a lot of company lately and have been out and about entertaining the fam. I decided to post a few pics. Have I said how much I love living here? California rocks.

Oh, the excitement!
It has been a LONG time since I have had a chance to get all dressed up and go anywhere, but tonight is it! Seif and I are going on a dinner cruise with my company that will have dinner, dancing, and guess what? We get to get dressed up! I know, I know, I am such a girl. I'll definitely post some pics later. I love my dress. It reminds me of something Charlotte would wear on Sex and the City.

A day in the life ...
I don't write on here much these days, I don't do much of anything these days other than work and school, but that's okay, regardless of the stress I love it! (How's that for a run on?-LOL) I am at home today, not feeling too well, so I thought I would write an update. I hate when I stay home from work, I always feel guilty, even if I am deathly ill. I don't even enjoy the day, so I don't know why I even stay home. Is anyone else like this or am I just weird?
Although I have a big test tomorrow, I have managed to get out and do a few things with my hubby over the past few days. As always in the life of Amanda and Seif, they were filled with clumsiness and laughs. I have attached a few pics.
So, you all read about my falling in the street awhile back. Well this weekend, my husband and I woke up at the crack of dawn and decided to go for a walk on the beach. This is one of our favorite things to do together. It was a little chilly and overcast, but it was a great time. We saw about 8 dolphins that day! I'm sure to Cali born locals this is no big deal, but for a girl from Utah and a guy from Jodan trust me, it is. We decided to go to this little restaurant on the boardwalk and eat outside. Our food came and oh my, it was delicious!!! I took two bites, oooh'd and awwww'd at its greatness, and as I cut my food, the plate flipped and landed all over my lap and all over the ground. The place was crowded and I was covered in salsa. Typical.
When Seif and I got home, I decided to play on Facebook (which I have since deleted because I couldn't stay off of it. Yea, yea I caved and will be back once school is finished). He came around to kiss me on the cheek while I sat at the computer, turned around too fast, and smacked his head in to the side of the door full force! I am not joking, it took 1 minute for that to turn in to a severe goose egg. I was seriously worried about him, but all turned out well and we now get a good laugh out of it. Typical.
On a side note, while we were at the beach, I stumbled across a really interesting house. I figured this guy must be from Utah and severely homesick. Take a look at the pics. So not typical.

The Creep on the Corner
So, there is this older man that sits outside of the coffee shop by where I work. He's friendly, but likes to check out the younger ladies. It makes me a little uncomfortable, so I avoid him. The other day I went to get coffee across the street from where he sits (there are two places to get coffee on the same street). Unfortunately, the walk sign came on by him faster than the one across from me, so I had two choices a) stand where I was and look obvious for not crossing or b) cross and do not make eye contact. I chose b. b was a bad choice. Unfortunately, I was wearing stilettos and my heel got stuck in a hole and I fell. Yes, in front of all of the stopped cars, and when I say I fell, I fell on my knees and HARD. Guess who ran out to rescue the damsel in distress? You got it. Sometimes the man upstairs has a great sense of humor; even I have to laugh at this one. My knees and well ...my pride may be hurt, but hey, I didn't drop my coffee.

Craziness
Hello my long lost friends! Or maybe I should simply say "Hello Blog". No one seems to be around anymore. For those of you who are, I'm so glad. Between work and school this seems to be my only link to the outside world and it's nice to know you are still here.
My life has been nothing but craziness lately. I seriously thought work and school would be easy. I mean, I'm only taking a few classes but when homework is involved, and it usually is, forget life. I do have to say though, I really have been enjoying school. Right now I'm studying Psychology and it has been very interesting. All of my professors are really cool, so I can't say I'm miserable, I'm actually far from it. I do miss everyone though! I'm still trying to figure out if it's my disappearance that has made everyone so scarce or that darn Facebook. Speaking of Psychology, I think I may need to look in to these anger issues I have regarding that stupid web site.
Well, I just wanted to drop in and write a quick word to let you all know that I'm still alive. Today we are having a make-up birthday for my husband because last week was a huge let down with the weather and well ... the economy. At least one of the two is looking a little better. I hope everyone is doing well! xoxoxoxoxo
