Question
Does anyone know why I can't change my email address on here to gmail? Unfortunately, Blogger won't allow me to follow blogs without a gmail account, but if I try to change mine, it says I can't????

A Day Late, But Dad, This One's For You
.jpg)
Yesterday was Father's Day and I fully intended on posting something on here then. However, I had a friend in need, so I got a little sidetracked. Now that I have time, I just wanted to give a shout out to my dad to say Happy Father's Day and let him know how much he is loved.
When I think of my dad, I think of Neil Young, The Harley Davidson Song (Unknown Legend),in particular. My dad loves to ride motorcycles (Harley's) and Neil Young's music has been something familiar to me since childhood. Not only does it remind me of my dad, but it reminds me of the many times I have went on motorcycle rides with him, sitting on the front of the bike as a kid, and holding on to the gas cap posing for pictures. My dad had a Honda then, he didn't get his precious Harley until later on.
One of my favorite memories was on Father's Day just a few years ago. My dad asked me if I wanted to take a ride with him. I asked him where, and he said "Wherever, just a ride." Not being one to pass up a motorcycle ride, I agreed. Next thing I knew, we were at a Krishna Temple -- absolutely beautiful. There were services going on, so we took off our shoes and decided to join. We sang and danced Hare Krishna, and even got blessed. The Krishna's placed the red dot on our foreheads and we drove home forgetting they were there. When I got back to my husband and he asked me what was on my head, I just went on, and on, and on about what a fun day we had.
When I reminisce about my childhood, I remember standing on my dad's feet while he danced with me to the song "Amanda" by Waylon Jennings. I used to LOVE Waylon Jennings, I actually still do. He is another artist that brings such good memories to mind. Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys!!! I loved dancing with my dad. These were the good ol' days.
Although I have these beautiful memories, my dad and I haven't always been close. Like most people, we have had our hard times, but through these past 7-8 years we have gotten very close. He comes to visit Seif and I in California quite often, and we always have such a great time going to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, or just hanging out drinking coffee. I see my dad in a completely different light the older I get, and I realize I am more like him than I ever knew. My dad looks tough, but he is one of the most sensitive, compassionate people I have ever met. He helps the less fortunate at Christmas time, he was by his dad's side the entire time he was sick, he is a friend to the elderly, he is just an all around great person, no matter what he may appear to be on the surface. I am so grateful to have him in my life.
I love my dad with all my heart. Here's to you dad! Happy Father's Day. Please know that you are loved far more than you will ever know!!!

Plenty of Time for Blogging....
except for I have nothing to talk about other than the craziness that is my life these days. My dear hubby left for South Africa to attend the World Cup. Before you ask why I didn't go ... well, I was going to, but that meant I had to quit my job and it's just not possible right now. On top of that, Mr. Seif didn't find a place to stay before he booked the plane ticket and his friends were discussing camping in Africa. Um, I'm adventurous and all, but due to past experiences in other countries while NOT camping, I had to pass. Now that he's gone, I'm missing him like crazy and wishing I was there with him. I always wanted to go to Africa. One day.....
I'll have quite a bit of time to blog with school being out and me being bored. Hopefully something brilliant will come to my mind that has seemingly been non-existent since finals. I think I killed some brain cells studying so hard. It seems pretty counter-productive, but that's just me.
Well...I think I will go clean my house. Once that's done, I have three weeks to figure out what to do next. I don't know how I am going to do this, it hasn't even been 24 hours and I miss him!!!!
